Celebrities and their bizarre skincare regimes

by Fiona

They may be stunning, but my, oh my! Today’s A-list celebrities sure do have some weird and wonderful skincare regimes up their sleeves. From creepy crawlies to bodily waste, we take a look at some of the most bizarre regimes hitting Hollywood.

Haemorrhoid cream is something that’s generally hidden at the back of the medicine cabinet, but when it comes to banishing under eye bags Sandra Bullock swears by the stuff.

Halle Berry always looks stunning, and she credits her glowing complexion to exfoliating with coffee grinds. Kudos for taking a natural approach! It’s one up on Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, who uses kitty litter. Ughh!

The ever elegant Victoria Beckham loves a sheep placenta face mask to keep the wrinkles at bay. The nutrients apparently renew, revitalise and repair. She’s also admitted to regularly snacking on bee pollen as a way of combating saggy skin.

Strangely enough, One Direction hottie Harry Styles is also a huge fan of sheep placenta facials, although we’re not sure his youthful complexion is in need of anti-wrinkle solutions just yet!

In a slightly sinister effort to look her best, Kim Kardashian has embraced the ‘vampire facial’ that sees platelet rich fibrin matrix extracted from a patient’s blood, then injected back into the face to combat wrinkles.

Self-confessed beach babe Suki Waterhouse claims that when a dip in the ocean isn’t possible, she spritzes her hair with Coca Cola. Apparently, the soft drink “makes it tousled, like I’ve gone through the Amazon or something.”

How does Demi Moore manage to retain her youthful complexion? According to the brunette beauty, leech therapy is a sure-fire way to get skin glowing. They release enzymes that help the skin bleed, and combat conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.

Some ladies have more money than they know what to do with, and supermodel Bar Refaeli definitely falls into this category. Can a 24 carat liquid gold facial really get the complexion glowing like a gold bar?

David Beckham loves skincare regimes as much as his wife, with the famous footballer using a paste made from nightingale droppings to keep his complexion looking dapper.

Call us boring, but when it comes to skincare we believe that Mother Nature is every girl’s best friend. No matter what your age, nothing gets skin glowing quite like a product packed full of earthy goodness that’s been made with love.
